「ヘヴン・イズ・ア・プレイス・オン・アースHeaven Is a Place onEarth」は、元ゴーゴーズのボーカルであったベリンダ・カーライルの楽曲で、彼女の2番目のスタジオアルバムHeaven on Earth (1987)に収録されている。作詞・作曲はRickNowelsとEllen Shipleyだが、よく知らない。キム・ワイルドに楽曲を提供していたという。
1987年9月にリリースされ、1987年12月5日にBillboard Hot 100で1位。
ゴーゴーズは有名なガールズバンドでボーカルのベリンダ・カーライルも有名で、ＭＶはよく見ていたが、まともな楽曲はなかった。解散して、ソロになり、突然このMVが出現して感動した。楽曲はイントロもサビも出来が良い。
しかし、一番良かったのは映像で、アカデミー女優のダイアン・キートンが製作したことを知った。
子供たちが、ボ－ルを持って足踏みしているシーンが印象的だった。アメリカ人は何かにつけてアメフトが好きなんだなと面白かった。回転しているように見えるのも斬新だった。
ただ、ベリンダの張り上げた声が都はるみになるような個所は聞き苦しい。
